Lead Carpenter/Working Foreman

Job Description

Job Overview Willis Construction is seeking an experienced, dependable Lead Carpenter / Working Foreman to lead a construction crew while performing hands-on carpentry and general construction work. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who takes pride in producing high-quality work, maintaining a safe jobsite, and keeping projects moving efficiently. Responsibilities
  • Lead, guide, and work alongside a construction crew
  • Assign daily tasks and provide clear direction to team members
  • Perform skilled carpentry and general construction duties
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship and productivity
  • Read plans, take measurements, and complete work accurately
  • Monitor jobsite safety, organization, and cleanliness
  • Ensure tools and materials are used properly
  • Communicate project needs, progress, and concerns
  • Help keep projects on schedule
  • Perform other construction-related duties as assigned Qualifications
  • Previous carpentry and construction experience required
  • Prior crew-lead or foreman experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to perform consistently at a high level
  • Working knowledge of construction tools, materials, and methods
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Ability to lift and carry more than 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical work for extended periods
  • Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work well with others
Pay:
$24.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
