Job Description
About this role Work on a prime data center build in Lockhart, TX as a Journeyman Form Carpenter. This role focuses on layout, building, installing and stripping formwork for concrete on a large commercial/industrial site. You'll be hands-on every day: reading plans, measuring and cutting materials, assembling and bracing forms, working alongside concrete crews during pours, and maintaining clean, safe work areas. This is a project-based construction role with a typical construction shift schedule and possible overtime when needed. What you'll do Read and interpret structural and formwork drawings; verify dimensions and elevations. Lay out, build, install, brace and strip concrete forms and formwork systems for slabs, walls and footings. Measure, cut and fit lumber, plywood and form components; operate saws and hand tools safely. Set and install form ties, walers, bracing and blocking; coordinate with concrete crews during placement and stripping. Perform general framing carpentry and concrete-related prep (paving, forming edge details) as required. Maintain tools and equipment, perform basic repairs, and keep the work area clean and safe following site safety rules. What we're looking for Journeyman-level form carpentry experience on commercial or industrial projects. Proven ability to read and interpret drawings, dimensions and layout plans. Strong measuring, cutting and general framing carpentry skills; comfortable with power and hand tools. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, formwork systems and concrete finishing support. Experience working around concrete pours, form ties, and paving/concrete operations. Reliable attendance, ability to work full days on-site in outdoor conditions and follow site safety procedures. Qualifications Journeyman-level form carpenter or equivalent trade experience. OSHA-10 safety card required; OSHA-30 preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Lockhart, TX site. Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work at heights when required. Basic English communication skills; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
