Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Hurricane Shutter Installer, where you'll play a vital role in safeguarding properties against storm damage by expertly installing high-quality hurricane shutters. This energetic position requires a motivated individual who thrives on hands-on work, precision, and delivering exceptional service. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining hurricane shutter systems on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring each project meets safety standards and client expectations. Your expertise will help protect communities and provide peace of mind to homeowners and business owners alike. Responsibilities Measure and assess installation sites using blueprints, schematics, and site plans to determine the best approach for shutter placement. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, assemble, and install various types of hurricane shutters, including roll-downs, accordion shutters, and panel systems. Read construction drawings and schematics accurately to ensure proper fitment and alignment of shutter components. Perform heavy lifting to transport and position large shutter panels or frames safely on-site. Apply caulking and construction painting techniques to ensure weather-tight seals around installed systems. Conduct site inspections during installation to verify compliance with safety protocols and project specifications; troubleshoot issues as they arise. Skills Strong construction estimating skills to evaluate project scope and materials needed. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools. Skilled in construction painting, caulking, trim carpentry, framing, drywall finishing, and remodeling projects.
