Greenway Bridge Co. is hiring Carpenters and Construction Laborers for an active bridge construction project in Damascus, Virginia . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor construction, is dependable, works well as part of a crew, and is comfortable working at heights. This project is expected to provide steady work from now through at least January 2027. Pay & Project Benefits $24.00-$26.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications Housing / per diem provided Travel reimbursement available Steady project work through at least January 2027 Work Schedule Our crews will generally work approximately three weeks on , followed by three to four days off . Candidates should be comfortable working an extended project schedule and being consistently available throughout the duration of the project. What You'll Be Doing Depending on experience, responsibilities may include: General bridge and timber construction Carpentry and framing Measuring, cutting, drilling, fastening, and assembling materials Assisting experienced carpenters and construction crew members Moving and staging materials Operating or working around construction equipment Maintaining a clean and safe work area Following direction from supervisors and project leadership Working safely and productively as part of a construction crew

Important:

Working at Heights This project will involve work at heights of approximately 70 feet . Candidates must be comfortable working at significant heights and able to follow all required fall-protection and jobsite safety procedures. Preferred Experience Construction experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience with: Carpentry Bridge construction Timber construction Commercial or heavy construction Forklifts Man baskets / aerial work platforms Lifts and other construction equipment Working safely at elevated heights Previous forklift, lift, or man-basket experience is a definite plus.
