Timber & Steel is Hiring — 2 Construction Crew Members Burlington, WI Area | $20-$35/hour based on experience | Paid Weekly Timber & Steel is looking for two reliable, motivated people to become part of our growing construction crew. We aren't simply trying to fill a couple of temporary spots. Our goal is to develop a dependable core crew that can grow with the company. We currently have two projects in the pipeline with work extending into 2027, and strong performers may have the opportunity for continued and year-round work as additional projects are added. Most of our work is residential construction in and around the Burlington area. Depending on the project, you'll be working on framing, remodeling and additions, pole barns and outbuildings, steel buildings, roofing and siding, demolition, finish carpentry, and other general construction. You'll work directly with Anthony, the owner of Timber & Steel. Some work will be completed alongside him and the rest of the crew, while other assignments will require you to understand the task and work independently. You Don't Need Years of Experience We're willing to hire someone with no professional construction experience if they have the right foundation and attitude. At a minimum, you should be able to use basic hand tools, read a tape measure, perform basic math, read and communicate effectively, follow instructions, and learn. You'll also need reliable transportation to get to the job site and your own basic hand tools and tool belt, including a hammer, tape measure, and speed square. Already experienced? Even better. Someone who can work independently, troubleshoot problems, anticipate what needs to happen next, and take ownership of portions of a project can earn toward the top of our $20-$35/hour pay range. What Matters Most to Us Reliability comes first. If you're scheduled to work, we need you there. We're also looking for people with a good attitude, motivation, and the ability to solve problems. You shouldn't need someone standing next to you telling you what to do for every step of the day. We're happy to teach someone who wants to learn. We're especially interested in people who want to become more skilled, accept feedback, take on additional responsibility, and potentially grow into leadership as the company expands. Hours & Location Our normal schedule is Monday-Friday with a 7:30 AM start. This is full-time, project-based construction work. Additional hours and occasional weekend work may be available as projects require. Most projects are in the Burlington, Wisconsin area. Travel will primarily consist of getting to the job site, with occasional trips to pick up materials.
