Description Come work for America's Master Craftsmen in Restoration and Preservation! Western Specialty Contractors is currently looking for self-motivated, top notch individuals to help serve our customers as a Skilled Concrete Finisher at our St. Louis branch. If you are a self-motivated individual with great work ethic and the personality to help with customer satisfaction, then we would love to meet you! As a member of the branch production team, you will be responsible for the performance of work within a particular work area and in accordance with generally accepted standards of the crafts. Experienced skilled laborers are all encouraged to Apply! Key Responsibilities Prepare, place, and finish concrete surfaces according to project specifications. Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, screeds, floats, and trowels. Operate power tools and finishing equipment, including power trowels and vibrators. Set forms and verify alignment, grade, and depth requirements. Apply surface treatments such as broom finishes, sealers, and curing compounds. Repair, patch, and resurface existing concrete as needed. Monitor weather and site conditions to ensure proper concrete curing and finishing. Follow blueprints, site plans, and supervisor instructions. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area. Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with crew members, supervisors, and subcontractors to complete projects efficiently. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, and curing processes. Ability to read tape measures and follow construction plans. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. Preferred Commercial concrete experience. Experience with foundations, sidewalks, slabs, curbs, and flatwork. Valid driver's license. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform repetitive motions and manual labor throughout the workday. Compensation for this role is determined using a variety of factors, including experience, skills, internal equity, market benchmarks, and the cost of labor in the different geographic locations where we operate. In addition to base pay, this position may also be eligible for: Beneficial ownership in the Company through Western's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
