Construction Superintendent-Civil/Concrete

Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Superintendent specializing in Civil and Concrete projects to lead and oversee small to medium-scale construction projects. This dynamic role requires a proactive leader who excels in managing teams, coordinating schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. As a Construction Superintendent-Civil/Concrete, you will be instrumental in driving project success from inception to completion, ensuring all work aligns with technical specifications, safety regulations, and client expectations. Your expertise in construction management software, blueprint reading, and crew supervision will be vital to delivering projects on time and within budget. Duties Lead and manage construction crews on civil and concrete projects, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed in accordance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations. Oversee daily site operations, coordinating construction schedules using Primavera P6 and other project management tools to ensure timely progress. Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to verify accuracy and adherence to project specifications. Supervise subcontractors and vendors, managing contracts, scope of work, and quality control measures to uphold project standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues early, and implement corrective actions promptly. Coordinate with project managers on budgeting, scheduling adjustments, resource allocation, and procurement processes utilizing HeavyBid or similar estimating software. Ensure compliance with construction regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies while maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel. Qualifications Proven experience managing civil or concrete construction projects with a strong background in heavy civil or commercial construction environments. Extensive knowledge of construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera (P6), HeavyBid, and other relevant tools. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately. Strong supervisory skills with experience managing teams on large-scale construction sites; excellent communication skills for effective management and client interaction. Familiarity with construction scheduling techniques including construction schedule coordination and project timeline management. Knowledge of OSHA standards along with federal and local construction safety regulations; experience implementing safety programs on-site. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail; proficient in budgeting and cost control practices. Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour or 500-Hour training preferred; experience with Ohmmeter testing or similar diagnostic tools advantageous.
