Job Description

Concrete Journeyman Pepper Construction Group LLC parental leave, paid time off, 401(k) United States, Ohio, Dublin 5185 Blazer Parkway (Show on map) Sep 14, 2026 With offices in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio, Pepper Construction is a national general contracting and construction management firm that primarily serves the private sector. Pepper Construction provides clients the experience and resources of a national company, combined with the hands-on approach of a local company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, as Concrete Journeyman, you may perform any combination of tasks to assist on the construction site. This position performs a wide variety of duties and tasks that often require assisting other tradespeople, including laborers and carpenters.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE

Setting up the forms for edge of slab, sidewalks or walls.

Building forms

Pouring concrete raking to proper grade.

Grading and prepping subgrade

Spreading and smoothing concrete.

Tooling expansion joints and edges.

Using stains or colors to add the finishing touch.

Adding small stones or other materials for decoration.

Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work.

Install wire welded fabric or re-enforcing bar Ability to operate a skid loader

Understand use of a laser level

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in commercial construction, preferred
  • Proficient in the use of industry tools and equipment
  • Up to date with the latest technology involving concrete work
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, with an ability to multi-task
  • Task-oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible availability, including some overtime, weekends, and night shifts
  • OSHA 10, preferred
  • Operator's certificate, preferred
