This role is not entry-level — prior hands-on microtrenching experience is required.
Duties:
Operate microtrenching equipment for excavation and installation Set up and break down project sites, maintaining equipment properly Read blueprints and construction documents specific to microtrenching Coordinate with internal teams and contractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget Comply with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards Monitor progress, report to management, and resolve issues or delays
Requirements:
Underground fiber optic construction experience required Experience operating mini excavators and other construction equipment Familiarity with underground boring/trenching a plus Clean driving record and valid license (must pass MVR); must pass background check Local candidates preferred due to on-call responsibilities Comfortable working outdoors, performing manual labor, and working evenings/weekends/on-call as needed Parker Communications is a family-owned company with over 30 years of history in construction.
