This role is vital in ensuring that plumbing systems are installed, maintained, and repaired efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all building codes and standards. As a key leader on-site, you will coordinate crews, manage materials, and ensure projects stay on schedule while upholding the highest safety and quality standards. Your expertise will help bring complex plumbing systems to life in commercial environments, driving success from blueprint to completion. Duties Supervise and coordinate plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance activities on commercial construction sites. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of plumbing systems. Manage daily site operations, including scheduling work crews, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to meet project deadlines. Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Oversee pipe installation, pipe threading, gas piping systems, and the use of hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently. Conduct quality control inspections of plumbing work to verify proper installation and adherence to specifications. Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety regulations, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to address any issues promptly and maintain excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with other trades such as carpentry or HVAC teams to ensure seamless integration of building systems. Oversee the use of heavy lifting equipment and perform basic math calculations necessary for precise measurements and material estimates. Assist in ordering materials to be delivered to jobsite in a timely fashion. Utilize project management software ensuring all daily logs, inspections/observations, timecards and jobsite photos are being tracked on a daily basis. Skills Extensive construction experience (10+ years) with a strong background in commercial plumbing projects. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical diagrams related to plumbing systems. Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local building codes, gas piping systems, and mechanical knowledge relevant to commercial settings. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques for pipe installation and repair. Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), system troubleshooting, and plumbing system maintenance in both new construction and remodeling projects. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction sites; committed to maintaining a safe working environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing multiple tasks efficiently on busy construction sites. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication with clients and team members. Mechanical aptitude combined with handyman experience in assembly or remodeling tasks enhances versatility on-site. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for site access or material transportation needs; familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
