Seeking a reliable and experienced foreman for an underground utility crew. Will be installing drainage, water mains, sanitary sewer, gravity, lift stations, and all piping/fittings/connections. Responsibilities Supervise and work alongside the underground utility crew Act as the primary on-site contact for General Contractor (GC) Superintendent and maintain a professional working relationship. Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, and backhoes to assist with excavation, lifting, and material handling tasks Perform utility locating to identify underground cables and pipes, ensuring safe excavation practices. Use hand tools for assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair work on various construction components Oversee and maintain all tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and working condition. Ensure that all jobsite crew members follow company policies and procedures, especially related to safety (ladder use, fall protection, PPE).
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in underground utilities Previous supervisory or foreman experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, and climbing ladders or structures safely Ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed Safety-conscious and knowledgeable of OSHA standards Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and safety reporting
Pay:
Starting at $1,800+ per week, based on experience
