We're hiring a Field Service Manager to run day-to-day field operations for our commercial HVAC and plumbing service department. This is a hands-on leadership role — you own the schedule, the crews, and the quality of work that leaves our shop. You'll be in the field with your technicians, in front of customers, and in the middle of every job that matters. This is not a desk job. Expect daily site visits, real problem-solving, and direct accountability for how our work performs. What You'll Do Supervise and support a team of commercial HVAC and plumbing service technicians and apprentices Schedule and dispatch daily service calls, preventive maintenance, and small project work for maximum efficiency and response time Walk job sites to scope work, verify quality, confirm code compliance, and close out completed calls Serve as the escalation point for complex troubleshooting on rooftop units, split systems, water-source heat pumps, VRF, chillers, boilers, pumps, controls, and commercial plumbing systems Manage job costing inputs — labor hours, material orders, equipment rentals, and subcontractor coordination Review technician documentation, service tickets, and photos for accuracy before invoicing Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, chief engineers, and general contractors Drive safety compliance in the field, including toolbox talks, PPE standards, and incident reporting Support estimating and sales by identifying replacement and repair opportunities uncovered in the field Mentor and develop technicians — build the bench, don't just manage it What You Bring 7+ years in commercial HVAC and/or plumbing service, with at least 2 years in a lead, foreman, or supervisory capacity Strong diagnostic ability across commercial HVAC equipment and commercial plumbing systems Proven ability to manage multiple crews and competing priorities without dropping calls Working knowledge of mechanical and plumbing code, permitting, and inspection processes EPA 608 Universal Certification (required) Comfort with service management software, mobile dispatch platforms, and basic Microsoft Office Clear, professional communication with customers, vendors, and office staff Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Preferred, Not Required Journeyman or Master HVAC and/or Plumbing license in MD, DC, or VA Hospitality or hotel facilities experience (Hilton, Marriott, or similar brand standards) Building automation and controls experience Backflow prevention certification Prior experience in a growing contractor environment where you helped build the process, not inherit it What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Company vehicle, fuel card, phone, and laptop Health benefits and paid time off Tools, training, and support for continued licensure and certification Direct access to ownership — decisions get made in days, not quarters A real seat at the table as we scale

Pay:

$90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
