GED Full Job Description Job Description Purpose:
Responsible for supervising the daily operations of a construction team in either aerial or underground projects, ensuring efficient execution of work while maintaining quality standards and safety. This role is crucial in delivering ITG's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction in the telecom cable industry. Responsibilities Plan and supervise daily activities of a team of technicians or workers in telecom cable construction projects to ensure project execution as per the timelines, quality and cost. Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations, certifications, and company policies to ensure safety standards and compliance with regulations. Assign tasks and schedules to team members including ITG employees and employees of business partners, ensuring correct resource allocation and equipment availability to optimize utilization, productivity and delivery. Monitor work progress and quality, ensuring adherence to project timelines and standards. Provide training and guidance to team members, including linemen and drillers. Address and resolve operational issues as they arise, including on-site customer interactions. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management review to enable timely decision making and intervention for improvements. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations. Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety practices. Key Measures /

Requirements Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required Technical certification in telecommunications, electronics, or related field preferred Specialized training in cable splicing techniques highly beneficial
Experience:
2+ years of experience in telecommunications cable splicing Experience with both coaxial and fiber optic splicing preferred Background in telecommunications construction beneficial
Exposure :
Knowledge of telecommunications industry standards and specifications Understanding of cable network architecture and signal transmission Experience with splicing equipment and testing tools Familiarity with safety protocols for construction environments Factors critical to success at ITG Communications for this position : Technical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail Commitment to quality and reliability in all work performed Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a construction team Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and sit Ability to use hands to handle or feet Ability to reach with hands and arms Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend and crawl Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Ability to maintain all safety expectations Ability to operate equipment controls for extended periods Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrain types Please note: This is a safety-sensitive position.
