Licensed Plumbing Contractor - Water Treatment Installs | $75-$125/hr Job Summary Already running your own plumbing business and looking to add a few profitable jobs each week? Tenn Water Pros is looking for licensed, insured independent plumbing contractors in the Knoxville and surrounding East Tennessee area to handle residential water-treatment installations. This is independent subcontract work, not a W-2 position . We are specifically looking for plumbers who already have their own business, tools, vehicle, licensing, and insurance, but want to add 2-3 scheduled installations per week to increase their income without taking on another full-time job. Pay is $75-$125 per hour , depending on experience, licensing, and job complexity. Tenn Water Pros provides the customer, equipment, and scheduled job. You provide the professional installation. Most work will consist of installing whole-home filtration systems, water softeners, carbon and sediment filtration systems, and under-sink reverse-osmosis systems. Jobs are scheduled in advance so they can be worked into your existing schedule. Responsibilities Install residential whole-home water filtration systems Install water softeners, carbon filtration systems, sediment filters, and reverse-osmosis systems Connect treatment equipment to existing residential water lines Install bypass valves, shutoffs, drains, tubing, fittings, and related plumbing components Route softener discharge and drain lines properly Perform minor plumbing modifications when required for installation Pressure-test systems and verify proper operation before leaving the job Troubleshoot installation-related plumbing issues when needed Maintain a clean and professional work area Provide basic system operation information to homeowners after installation Complete work in accordance with applicable plumbing codes and manufacturer specifications Communicate professionally with Tenn Water Pros and the homeowner throughout the job Contractor Requirements Valid applicable plumbing license or required local plumbing credentials Current general liability insurance Own work vehicle Own professional plumbing tools and equipment Residential plumbing experience Water softener, filtration, or water-treatment installation experience preferred Ability to solder, press, crimp, or otherwise make professional plumbing connections Ability to work independently without constant supervision Reliable transportation Reliable phone and communication Professional appearance and attitude Strong attention to detail Must take pride in workmanship and customer satisfaction Work Schedule This position is designed for independent plumbers who already have their own workload and want additional scheduled jobs. Initial workload is expected to be approximately: 2-3 installations per week Jobs will be scheduled in advance whenever possible, allowing you to fit Tenn Water Pros installations around your existing business and customer schedule. As Tenn Water Pros grows, additional installation opportunities may become available. Compensation $75-$125 per hour Pay is based on experience, licensing, installation complexity, and scope of work. More complex installations or jobs requiring significant plumbing modifications may be compensated accordingly.
