SiGNtastic! SiGN CO. is looking for an experienced Signage Vinyl Installer / Graphics Installation Technician to join our team. This is NOT a vehicle-wrap-only position. We are looking for an experienced sign industry vinyl installer who can install a wide variety of vinyl graphics and signage—not someone whose experience is limited to vehicle wraps. Our ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing commercial signage, vinyl graphics, lettering, decals, and large-format graphics and understands the importance of proper surface preparation, layout, alignment, seams, finishing, and attention to detail. Our vinyl installation work includes vehicles, storefronts, windows, doors, walls, floors, equipment, specialty vehicles, and commercial signage. Depending on the project, you may install: Commercial vinyl graphics and signage Window graphics and perforated window film Storefront and door lettering Wall and architectural graphics Floor graphics Decals, stickers, labels, and cut vinyl Large-format printed graphics Vehicle graphics and partial or full wraps Fleet graphics Box trucks and trailers Food trucks Golf carts Airplanes and other specialty vehicles Splash graphics and specialty applications Vinyl lettering and logos Vinyl overlays and promotional graphics Vinyl removal and replacement You will work with everything from small decals and lettering to large-format installations requiring ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and multiple installers. What You'll Do Install vinyl graphics, lettering, decals, and printed graphics on a variety of surfaces. Install graphics on vehicles, windows, walls, doors, floors, storefronts, equipment, and other specialty surfaces. Install partial and full vehicle wraps as well as fleet graphics. Prepare surfaces properly before installation, including cleaning, degreasing, and preparing difficult or irregular surfaces. Read and interpret production files, layouts, measurements, and installation instructions. Measure, position, align, seam, stretch, trim, and finish vinyl accurately. Use professional vinyl installation techniques to produce clean, bubble-free, wrinkle-free results. Work with heat, squeegees, knives, cutting tools, magnets, tape, ladders, and other installation equipment. Perform vinyl removals and prepare surfaces for new graphics. Troubleshoot difficult installations and determine the best application method for the material and surface. Inspect your work throughout the installation and before the project is considered complete. Work with our graphic design and production teams to ensure graphics are installed according to the approved artwork. Assist with laminating, cutting, weeding, masking, table work, sign production, fabrication, and other shop responsibilities when needed. Keep installation areas, tools, equipment, and workspaces clean and organized. Follow shop safety procedures and handle materials and equipment responsibly. Work independently when appropriate and as part of an installation team on larger projects. We Are Looking For Someone Who Already Knows Vinyl Installation, and sign industry experience is strongly preferred. This position is best suited for someone who has already worked in a commercial sign shop, graphics/signage company, or professional vinyl installation environment.
Ideal experience includes:
2+ years of professional vinyl/signage installation experience Commercial sign installation experience Experience with printed and cut vinyl graphics Experience with window, wall, door, or floor graphics Vehicle graphic and/or vehicle wrap experience Experience installing graphics on large or specialty vehicles Ability to work with large-format graphics and challenging surfaces Ability to read layouts and accurately measure and position graphics Strong understanding of vinyl handling, stretching, heating, trimming, seams, and finishing Excellent attention to detail Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to identify and troubleshoot installation problems Comfortable working on ladders and at heights Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work on your feet for extended periods Ability to lift and move materials and equipment Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality results Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Professional communication and teamwork skills We would especially like to hear from candidates with experience in: Commercial Sign Installation, Vinyl Graphics, Large-Format Graphics, Window Graphics, Wall Graphics, Vehicle Graphics, Fleet Graphics, Vehicle Wraps, Storefront Graphics, Cut Vinyl, Printed Vinyl, Perforated Window Film, Specialty Vehicle Graphics, Vinyl Removal, Sign Production 3M or Avery Dennison certification is preferred, but hands-on professional experience is more important than a certificate. Physical & Job Requirements Valid driver's license required. Clean driving record required/preferred. Ability to safely drive company vehicles when needed. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. Ability to work indoors and outdoors. Ability to work in different weather conditions when installations require it. Ability to work extended hours when a project deadline requires it. Must be dependable and able to arrive on time and ready to work.
