Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports & data entry across various platforms (i.e e
CPR/DIR, LCP
tracker, Emars, Elations, eCOMPLY, LAUSD, Textura, GCPAY, etc) Effectively complete required forms timely and correctly - such as, but not limited to DAS140, DAS142, Fringe Benefit Statements, Labor Law Checklist, CAC, Emp Deduction forms Request information from Unions and Apprentice committees. Submit reports as directed weekly while maintaining employee confidentiality Communicate project specific labor compliance requirements to subcontractors/vendors Research and resolve agency/owner identified discrepancies including, but not limited to prevailing wages, missed time, missing reports, and trust fund payments. Provide professional customer service to our subcontractors, vendors, agencies, and owners by answering all communications in a 24-48 hour period. Identify, prepare, collect and timely submit various forms required for each agency and job. Keep current with union Master Labor Agreement, rates, and California and Federal basic labor laws. Effectively communicate with other departments including but not limited to project requirements, subcontractor/vendor payment holds and labor compliance discrepancies. Communicating issues efficiently and properly to all levels of employees, management, subcontractors, and Customers Participate in rotation schedule as backup for receptionist desk. Competencies:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of certified payroll experience Prevailing wage knowledge in CA Understanding of fringe benefits for Union employees preferred Strong interpersonal and Communication skills via phone, email and messaging platforms Ability to troubleshoot issues independently Proficiency with MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and Outlook. Organizational and Analytical skills a must Team player Adaptability Critical thinking Attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize workload. Punctuality Physical Requirements Most time spent in an indoor office environment Sitting at a desk for prolonged periods of time (8-hour shift) Occasional lifting of files and boxes up to 20 lbs Pushing/pulling of file cabinets Extended visual use of a computer screen
