Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project requirements and execute tasks accurately. Assist in erosion control measures to protect the environment and ensure project stability. Operate power tools and equipment safely for tasks such as digging, lifting, and material handling. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials, tools, and equipment in accordance with safety regulations. Maintain workplace safety by adhering to OSHA safety standards, implementing safety regulations, and using respiratory protection when necessary. Conduct routine equipment repairs and troubleshooting to ensure operational efficiency of tools and machinery. Support the implementation of construction plans by executing tasks related to site preparation, foundation work, or structural assembly. Climb ladders or scaffolding safely while following proper protocols for working at heights. Assist with erosion control activities such as installing barriers or drainage systems to prevent soil erosion. Follow all safety procedures related to industrial construction environments, including proper manual handling techniques and use of personal protective equipment. Experience Proven experience working in industrial or commercial construction environments with a focus on safety compliance. Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding construction plans. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards and respiratory protection protocols. Hands-on experience with power tools, equipment repair, and operating heavy machinery. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy materials or equipment regularly. Experience in erosion control practices and implementing environmental protection measures on-site. Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment maintenance or troubleshooting is a plus.
