Medical Front Office Backup Supervisor Position Summary:
The Medical Front Office Backup Supervisor under the direct direction of the Front Office Supervisor assures the smooth daily operation of the front office for the medical department and is responsible for Supervising the front office Medical Receptionists in the absence of the Supervisor.

Physical Requirements:
An eligible candidate must possess the ability to: Sit for extended periods of time. Be able to sustain prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and light lifting without pain. Use full range sensory including hearing, speech, and vision. Display manual dexterity as applicable to position. Pass all employment physical/medical examinations.

Maintain a positive, pro-active, and professional demeanor with fellow employees. Work under pressure in a fast-paced clinic environment. Make sound decisions and take responsibility. Maintain good attendance and be punctual. Be task oriented in all work activities, while meeting deadlines. Read and adhere to policies and procedures. Always maintain a high level of employee, patient/family confidentiality. Understand and follow all HIPAA laws and requirements.
Have computer skills such as:
NextGen, i2i, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Outlook, etc. Other duties as assigned.
General Qualifications:
An eligible candidate must possess or maintain the following: Must be over 18 years of age. Have High School Diploma. Understand Medical Terminology. Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking with many tasks performed concurrently. Reliable employment history and highly recommended. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Current CPR certification. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Maintain a "Professional Image" in one's appearance and hygiene. Requires discretion, confidentiality, resourcefulness and good judgement in handling functions of a sensitive nature. Ability to get along with co-workers in a close environment. Collection of monies due from patients. Other duties as assigned.
Direct Responsiblities:
Demonstrate a high level of emotional and mental tolerance when dealing with all ill people. Uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgement, and a professional attitude when relating to patients, families, and co-workers. Maintains a high level of patient confidentiality under HIPAA laws and Greenville Rancheria clinic policy and procedures. Responsible for review of any demographic, insurance or any other NextGen errors with Medical Receptionist(s). Listens to all voicemails at the beginning of their shift and sends patients messages to the CMA using NextGen EHR. Able to understand, be sensitive to, communicate with, and have knowledge and awareness of the culture of the Indian community to be served. Must be able to assist patients when the patient is unable to read or write to complete any documentation. If and when a patient is Native American and is without any healthcare coverage insurance we must offer health insurance enrollment for Medi-Cal or a covered California health plan. This is vital for our Purchased Referral Care (PRC). Be supportive of all front office staff and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
