Job Title:
Construction Worker Job Description We are seeking dedicated Elevator Construction Helpers to support elevator installation projects across multiple job sites. This role is perfect for those aspiring to build a long-term career in one of the most stable and high-paying skilled trades in construction. As a helper, you will work closely with experienced elevator mechanics and installers, gaining hands-on experience with elevator systems while traveling to active projects. This is a full-time position with consistent hours, paid travel accommodations, and a clear path for advancement.

  • Responsibilities Assist elevator mechanics and lead installers with construction and installation tasks.
Perform basic mechanical and electrical work under supervision. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Stage, organize, and move tools, materials, and equipment. Help prepare elevator shafts, rails, doors, and components. Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites. Follow all safety procedures and participate in required training. Essential Skills Experience in construction, electrical, and mechanical work. Proficiency with general labor tasks. Skilled in using power tools and hand tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must reside near Hollywood, FL. Reliable transportation to local reporting locations. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Comfortable working at heights up to 7 stories. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Basic math and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel for extended periods. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work is performed in commercial and residential buildings, with elevators no higher than 7 stories. The role requires standing, lifting, and hands-on physical work, and you must be comfortable working in elevator shafts and mechanical spaces. The home base is near Hollywood, FL, but the majority of work is out of town, with continuous travel unless assigned to a local project. Assignments may last up to 3 weeks at a time, with hotel accommodations fully provided while traveling. The work schedule is 40 hours per week, with a typical start time between 7:30 - 8:00 AM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Davie, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
