Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Helper/Laborer to join our dynamic stair construction/fabrication team. This role is essential in supporting various phases of stair projects by performing a wide range of manual tasks, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progression of site and warehouse activities. Responsibilities Assist with site setup, cleanup, and organization to maintain a safe and efficient work environment Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and roofers by handing tools, materials, and supplies Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision to perform tasks like framing, drywall installation, or concrete finishing Prepare and transport materials including lumber, concrete forms, insulation, or fixtures around the site Help with demolition, debris removal, and site cleanup to keep the work area safe and tidy Follow blueprints, schematics, or instructions to assist with tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, or installation of fixtures Support specialized activities like scaffolding setup, heavy equipment operation assistance, or basic fabrication tasks Requirements Prior experience in construction site work or related manual labor roles is required; willingness to learn is essential Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Basic understanding of construction processes such as blueprint reading or schematics Familiarity with construction safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy objects, bend, climb ladders/scaffolding, and perform strenuous tasks for extended periods Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward safety and teamwork Knowledge of construction disciplines such as welding, stair construction, framing carpentry, glass installation, custom carpentry, drywall installation and finishing is advantageous Join us in building quality stair structures while gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
