In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various phases of construction projects by performing physically demanding tasks, operating tools and equipment, and assisting skilled tradespeople. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, safety awareness, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to high-quality project completion. Duties Assist in the preparation and setup of construction sites, including clearing debris and organizing materials Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and forklifts safely and efficiently Perform heavy lifting of materials such as rebar, concrete forms, masonry blocks, and flooring materials Support concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and rebar installation to ensure structural integrity Assist with formwork construction, concrete form setup, and removal according to blueprint specifications Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to execute tasks accurately Conduct masonry work including bricklaying, plastering, and stonework as needed Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe environment for all team members Support renovation projects by preparing surfaces, installing flooring, or assisting with masonry tasks Operate heavy equipment responsibly for tasks such as concrete pumping or excavation activities Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation Experience with construction estimating processes and blueprint reading Proficiency in concrete forming, finishing, cutting, and pouring techniques Knowledge of rebar installation and masonry work including plastering and flooring installation Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and protocol adherence Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery safely Experience working on diverse construction projects including renovations or new builds Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical endurance Competence in operating heavy equipment such as concrete mixers or pumps responsibly This position is ideal for individuals eager to grow within the construction industry by gaining practical experience across multiple disciplines.
