These full-time positions perform strenuous physical labor on construction, maintenance, and repair projects in the Department of Public Works. Applicants for the Laborer position must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Michigan driver's license. Applicants for the Equipment Operator position must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Michigan Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B. Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment physical, including a drug test, lift test, and background check.
