Skilled Labor - Commercial Construction General Laborer Job Description We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Commercial Construction General Laborer to support a capital improvement project for a school. This role involves assisting skilled trades, maintaining safe and organized job site conditions, handling materials, and performing a variety of general labor tasks to ensure efficient project execution. Responsibilities Maintain clean, safe, and organized job site conditions in accordance with company and OSHA standards. Assist with the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials and equipment. Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, sweeping, and debris removal. Support skilled trades such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers as needed. Set up and take down temporary structures, barriers, and signage. Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Assist with site preparation, including grading and layout support. Monitor and restock supplies and materials to ensure continuous workflow. Follow all safety procedures and promptly report hazards or incidents. Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion. Essential Skills 1+ years of experience in commercial construction or related fields such as residential construction, roofing, landscaping, site construction, or building maintenance. OSHA 10 Certification. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions. Experience with hand and power tools. Ability to work with good safety habits. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in construction or general labor preferred; commercial experience is a plus. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50+ pounds, standing, bending, and working in various weather conditions. Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
