We are part of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) which was established in 1976. We help those that are less fortunate save on their energy bills. Due to the high demand for our services, we are in need of an individual that is willing to learn from the ground up. While experience is not required beyond basic construction knowledge, hustle and positive attitude are a must! We are looking to train only one person to become part of our team where the average employee has been with us for over 10+ years. The job involves diagnostic testing, air sealing, access building, duct sealing, insulation of attics, sidewalls, band joists, crawl spaces, installation of attic and crawl venting, and mobile home weatherization. It's hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and dirty year round. The day starts at the warehouse where trucks are loaded for the day's job, and then drive to the clients home and begin working from the work order that the agency provides. You may be on the job from 1 day up to 8 days until it's completed, then on to the next agency's job. Must have basic experience in construction and tool usage. Must be OK with working off ladders, being on roofs, working in very tight spaces, and not be afraid to get dirty.
