Painter and Laborer Aiden and Grace Specialty Rentals Columbus, OH Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Temp-to-hire | Seasonal | Contract From $24 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Structural painting Moving Driver's License Warehouse experience Full Job Description Aiden & Grace is looking for a skilled and versatile Painter / Fixer / Peak Delivery Lead to support the preparation, maintenance, customization, and delivery of our rental inventory. This is a specialty role for someone who is comfortable working with their hands and takes pride in making sure our inventory looks its best. During slower periods, the primary focus will be painting, repairs, furniture touch-ups, customization, and inventory maintenance. During peak event season, this role will transition into an experienced delivery and installation leadership position. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to identify problems and figure out practical solutions. You should be comfortable working independently while also stepping into a leadership role when the delivery schedule demands it.

Schedule:
Variable hours based on business and seasonal needs DutiesPainting & Customization Paint rental inventory according to company specifications. Complete custom paint and color requests. Prepare furniture and inventory for painting. Complete touch-ups and finish work. Maintain consistency in color, finish, and overall appearance. Complete customization lists according to deadlines. Help ensure custom pieces are completed and ready for upcoming events. Repairs & Inventory Care Identify damaged or worn rental inventory. Complete furniture repairs and touch-ups when possible. Determine when an item requires additional repair or outside service. Help maintain and extend the life of rental inventory. Assist with cleaning, sanding, painting, refinishing, and other basic furniture maintenance. Communicate larger repair needs to the Warehouse Manager. Help keep the repair and customization area organized. Peak-Season Delivery & Installation Lead delivery and installation crews during peak event periods. Drive company vehicles and safely transport rental inventory. Lead larger or more complicated installations. Help direct team members in the field. Troubleshoot installation challenges and find practical solutions. Assist with loading, delivery, installation, pickup, and unloading as needed. Represent Aiden & Grace professionally at venues and client locations. Help ensure event installations meet company standards and specifications. General Operations Support the Warehouse Manager with special projects and operational needs. Assist with warehouse organization and inventory preparation. Train or assist less-experienced employees with specialty tasks. Follow all company safety and operational procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area. Step into other warehouse and delivery responsibilities when business needs require it. Experience Experience with painting, furniture repair, refinishing, carpentry, maintenance, construction, fabrication, or a related hands-on trade strongly preferred. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Comfortable using hand tools and basic equipment. Resourceful and able to troubleshoot problems independently. Able to learn and follow specific paint, repair, and customization standards. Previous delivery, installation, warehouse, or event experience preferred. Previous experience leading a small team is a plus. Physically capable of lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, and moving furniture and event equipment. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license and safe driving history required. Reliable and able to manage variable hours based on seasonal demand. Comfortable working in a highly seasonal business and shifting between specialty production work during slower months and delivery/installation leadership during peak season. Must be willing to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays when required by the event schedule. This role is ideal for someone who doesn't want to do the same thing every day. Some weeks you'll be painting and repairing furniture; other weeks you'll be leading a delivery crew and solving problems in the field. We are looking for someone who is skilled, adaptable, and takes ownership of the work in front of them.
