Job Description

Maritme Laborer - $250 Daily Join SAVARD Personnel Group - where your skills are valued! We are seeking reliable Marine General Laborer to join a growing marine construction company performing industrial dock repairs, maintenance, barge work, and vessel-related projects. This is a hands-on position for someone who can take direction, work safely, and assist with a variety of tasks in a marine construction environment.

This is NOT offshore work. Employees will report to the local shop/workshop and job sites and will return home each day. No per diem is offered. ResponsibilitiesAssist with industrial dock repairs and maintenance.

Perform general labor and demolition work as needed.

Assist with hanging and installing timbers on docks.

Load and unload barges, materials, tools, and equipment.

Prepare materials and equipment at the shop for installation at job sites.

Assist with dockside construction, repairs, and maintenance.

Assist with installation and repair projects involving docks, barges, boats, and marine equipment.

Follow directions from supervisors and experienced crew members.

Drill holes, install bolts, move materials, and perform other assigned tasks.

Assist with vessel and boat maintenance and upgrades.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

QualificationsPrevious marine, construction, industrial, shipyard, dock, barge, or general labor experience preferred.

Must be comfortable working around water and on docks, barges, and vessels.

Must be able to take direction and learn new tasks quickly.

Strong work ethic and dependable attendance required.

Must be physically capable of performing manual labor and working outdoors.

Must have a valid TWIC card - mandatory.

Must be able to pass a drug test.

Must be able to reliably commute to and from work each day.

Must be local to the Beaumont/Port Arthur area and able to return home daily.
