Non-Exempt Summary:
Alanis Construction is seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers to support residential construction projects throughout the Rio Grande Valley. This is a full-time position that assists with a variety of construction tasks, including site preparation, material handling, cleanup, and supporting skilled trades. Individuals with little or no construction experience are encouraged to apply, as on-the-job training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with residential construction projects from start to finish.
Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Prepare and clean construction sites before, during, and after projects.
Dig, level, and prepare work areas as directed.
Assist skilled workers, including concrete finishers, carpenters, and other trades.
Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Previous construction or general labor experience preferred but not required.
Willingness to learn and receive on-the-job training.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Reliable transportation preferred.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, and varying weather conditions.
Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
