Description:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled and specific laboring tasks related to parks and sports field maintenance.
APPLICANTS
This position posting will establish a hiring roster for 2026. Please note the date you are available for employment.
Responsibilities:
Operates mechanized equipment such as mowers, backhoes, compactors, utility vehicles, trucks, tractors, saws, jack hammers, etc. Some contact with the public. Oversees and coordinates work activities of temporary/seasonal staff as assigned and reports directly to the Golf Superintendent. Positions needed anywhere from 10-40 hours per week. Workdays begin between 6am and 7am. Must be able to work weekends.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of standard senior high school or equivalent. Moderate mental application and training required. Must be in good physical condition and capable of working in all weather and seasonal conditions. Knowledge of general landscaping maintenance and construction methods and practices. Skills in understanding and following oral and written instructions. Various state and city certifications may be required as per assignment including a valid Utah Driver/Operator's License.
