Job Description
Job Purpose We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to join our commercial construction team. This role supports field operations by performing a wide range of tasks that ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, equipment operators, and other skilled trades as directed
- Perform site preparation, cleanup, and material handling
- Load, unload, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively as directed by supervision
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, debris removal, and jobsite housekeeping
- Install temporary protections such as fencing, barriers, and signage
- Support installation tasks including layout assistance, measuring, cutting, fastening, and assembly
- Follow all company safety procedures, including use of PPE and participating in toolbox talks
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding work progress and safety concerns
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support successful project execution Qualifications
- Previous construction or labor experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and on active construction sites
- Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- OSHA-10 or First Aid/CPR certification preferred but not required Work Environment
- Commercial construction sites
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, heights, loud noise, and equipment
- Use of personal protective equipment required (hard hat, vest, gloves, eyewear, boots)
