Job Description

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale infrastructure projects including drainage, roads, bridges, utilities, grading, and concrete work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction, with proven expertise in managing all phases of complex projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Management:
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
Team Leadership:
  • Manage project teams, including subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and productivity on-site.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
  • Monitor project costs and maintain budgetary compliance.
  • Approve and process invoices, change orders, and financial documentation.
Scheduling:
  • Create and maintain construction schedules using software tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Proactively address schedule delays and implement recovery strategies.
Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, permits, and local codes.
Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts, and project documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in heavy civil construction.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Certifications:
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
