Responsible for Campus Security staff and overall safety, security, weapons detection and execution of Standard Response Protocols (SRPs) in their school. Manage Campus Supervisors schedules and time, coverage for weapons detection, door alarms and camera systems to review, record and document incidents. Responsible for on-boarding new Campus Supervisor hires including training. Will be assigned to Riverdale Ridge High School.SALARY:
Classified Grade V, starting at $28.95 per hour, depending on recent relevant experience. 10 hours per day on the 10-month/4-day work schedule. Position is paid over 12-months and is eligible for benefits.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Campus Supervisor Staff, schedules and time at designated high school. Oversee, guide and support the Campus Supervisors through planning, communicating, assigning and directing staff to ensure staff, community and student safety. Training Campus Supervisors, working with administration in appraising Campus Supervisors performance and communication of discipline. Maintain accurate records of Campus Supervisor staff, uniforms, vests, radios and weapons detection equipment. Order and maintain necessary equipment for all safety and security needs. Will manage staff and ensure communications and training with district personnel. Coordinate and assist with set up of weapons detection systems for daily and after school activities. Schedule appropriate coverage for after school activities. Maintain, participate and be involved in information sharing of student discipline, security and concerns. Assist if needed with Safe2Tell communications and follow up with administration and School Resource Officers. Be the point of contact for Raptor Flags for visitors, community, Law Enforcement, First Responders, contractors, staff, teachers and personnel. Perform Campus Supervisor duties including coverage of the building, weapons detection, Hub, and outside. Will oversee and manage the overtime schedule with detailed procedures of assigning said overtime to the Campus Supervisor Team. Perform and or assign daily operational checks of doors, alarm operability and AI phones. Assist and follow through on operational needs regarding Standard Response Protocols, drills and after action reports. Be available for training, professional development and goal setting with District Safety and Security personnel. May include Mondays. Performs other duties as assigned, for example; after hours emergenciesQUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent Communication, writing, interpersonal, supervisory, and basic math skills. Knowledge of Standard Response Protocols, schools floor plan, camera system, door numbering and alarm systems. Requires sound judgment and effective management skills to the safety of building facilities, staff and students. Requires cross training in management skills, training skills, weapons detection equipment, problem solving, diplomacy, safety, and basic purchasing of equipment and uniform needs. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Valid Colorado driver's license, required. First Aid and CPR certifications, and ICS Certs 100 and 362 required within 60 days after hire. Must be able to pass a Colorado and Federal Bureau of Investigation background check.EXPERIENCE
Over 3 years of service in school safety. Managerial experience preferred. Communication, writing, interpersonal, supervisory, and basic math skills. Knowledge of Standard Response Protocols, schools floor plan, camera system, door numbering and alarm systems. Advanced customer service and public relations skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills. The ability to manage confidentiality in all aspects of job, manage multiple priorities, manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. The ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
