Job Description
Empower Construction is more than just a contractor completing a job, instead, we aim to create lasting partnerships. We are looking for dedicated team players who aim for the same goals. We are actively seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Level II Superintendent .
POSITION PURPOSE
The Superintendent position leads day-to-day operations at the job site. They direct, supervise, and manage any issues that may arise on the job. This individual serves as the main point of contact for job site operations, as well as the liaison between the other carpenters, subcontractors, and management.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates the ability to lead and develop others. Trains others on new skills and continues to grow professionally. Assigns day-to-day duties on the job site according to skill sets. Upholds the standards of the company along with a strong moral center. Ensures compliance with all PPE and safety policies. Balances the execution of job requirements while ensuring worker safety and implementing preventative measures. Works closely with subcontractors to ensure the highest quality workmanship. Must demonstrate ownership of jobsite performance, quality issues, and problem resolution without shifting responsibility to internal staff or subcontractors. Demonstrates the ability to communicate professionally with clients, inspectors, vendors, and internal teams, including appropriate language, tone, and emotional control in high-pressure situations. Provides timely daily and weekly jobsite updates, including photo documentation and digital reporting using company systems. Leads crews and subcontractors through collaboration, coaching, and professional direction without using an authoritarian or task-master approach. Maintains clean and organized jobsites.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Seeking an experienced Superintendent with at least three years of experience in commercial ground-up construction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading commercial projects for a general contractor, strong expertise in drawing interpretation, and the ability to effectively coordinate all construction trades and divisions. Minimum two (2) years of experience in a lead role, preferably in a construction setting. OSHA certification preferred. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service skills. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and organize tasks. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to develop trust and respect and work effectively as a team player. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and effectively delegate. Must be proficient in mobile and computer-based field tools and be able to maintain laptop and phone availability during working hours and job-related travel. Must be able to work a full schedule and additional overtime hours with little to no notice. Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check. Must have a valid driver's license.HOURS, WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a full-time position. Working hours vary from job site and/or project timeline. Candidate must be flexible with working hours. Empower construction performs various daytime and nighttime projects. Assignments may vary. This position requires travel to assigned job sites within the state of Colorado and may also require occasional travel outside of Colorado based on project needs. This position requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting. Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.JOIN OUR TEAM TODAY!
