- Lead development of renewable energy projects across CAISO from site selection to execution readiness
- Drive advancement through key milestones including site control, interconnection queue progression, permitting approvals, and commercial structuring Project Management & Execution
- Develop and manage integrated project schedules, budgets, and risk registers
- Track milestones and proactively adjust plans to maintain timelines Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate inputs across interconnection, land, permitting, engineering, environmental, and commercial teams
- Integrate SME inputs into cohesive development strategies Risk Management & Decision-Making
- Identify and manage risks related to CAISO interconnection, permitting, land constraints, and market considerations
- Lead tradeoff discussions and recommend solutions to advance projects Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead engagement with landowners, utilities, CAISO stakeholders, permitting agencies, and consultants
- Represent AES in project meetings and negotiations
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental studies, or related field
- 4-7 years of experience in renewable energy development or related field
- Strong understanding of interconnection, permitting, land, and project development processes
Preferred:
- Experience with CAISO interconnection and California permitting processes
- Experience developing solar, storage, or hybrid projects in CAISO Key Competencies
