Job Description

Site Supervisor - Residential Reconstruction Clear Code LLC | Manchester, CT Clear Code LLC is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the field execution of residential reconstruction projects following water, fire, mold, and other property losses. This is a hands-on, field-focused position for someone who understands residential construction, can lead subcontractors, solve problems, maintain high-quality standards, and keep projects moving. Full-time and project-based opportunities may be available depending on experience and overall fit. Clear Code primarily performs reconstruction work throughout central and eastern Connecticut. About the Position This is not a traditional Project Manager position. Our Project Manager and office team handle most scheduling, documentation, customer administration, estimating, project tracking, and other back-office responsibilities. The Site Supervisor's primary responsibility is to make sure each job is completed correctly, efficiently, safely, and according to the approved scope of work.
Simply put:
The Project Manager owns the overall project . The Site Supervisor owns field execution. Both positions work closely together to deliver each project on time, within scope, and according to Clear Code's quality standards. Primary Responsibilities
  • Review the complete job packet and approved scope before construction begins
  • Walk projects with the Project Manager before startup when needed
  • Understand the approved work and identify field concerns early
  • Make sure subcontractors understand the scope before beginning work
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors while they are working on-site
  • Perform regular site visits to verify progress and workmanship
  • Hold subcontractors accountable for schedules and quality
  • Verify the materials and quantities needed for each project
  • Assist with material pickups or field material coordination when necessary
  • Maintain clean, organized, professional, and safe jobsites
  • Identify potential change orders or additional work before the work is performed
  • Promptly communicate field concerns and potential changes to the Project Manager
  • Document field conditions and project progress using photos, notes, and basic updates
  • Perform quality-control inspections throughout construction
  • Maintain Clear Code's workmanship standards
  • Create and manage field punch lists
  • Conduct final punch walks with subcontractors
  • Verify that all punch-list items are completed
  • Assist with the final customer walkthrough
  • Assist with completion documentation and project closeout
  • What the Project Manager and Office Team Handle The Site Supervisor is not expected to carry the full administrative burden of Project Management. The Project Manager and office team generally handle:
  • Overall project scheduling and tracking
  • Customer administrative communication
  • Insurance communication
  • Estimating and supplements
  • Job costing and billing
  • Change-order paperwork
  • Project software administration
  • Contract administration
  • Permit administration
  • Final financial closeout What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with strong residential construction knowledge who can walk onto a project, understand what needs to happen, and make sure the work is completed properly. Ideal candidates will have experience with several areas of residential construction, such as:
  • Drywall and painting
  • Flooring
  • Trim and finish carpentry
  • Cabinets
  • Roofing and siding
  • Framing and insulation
  • Plumbing and electrical coordination
  • General residential remodeling The right candidate:
  • Takes ownership of their work

  • Pay close attention to detail
  • Maintains professional and organized jobsites
  • Treats homeowners respectfully
  • Works well independently without constant supervision
  • Is comfortable being accountable for schedules and quality
  • Works well as part of a Project Manager-led team
  • Is comfortable using a smartphone for photos, email, and basic apps
  • Hands-on handyman or light carpentry experience is a plus but is not required. What Success Looks Like A successful Site Supervisor helps ensure that:
  • Subcontractors understand exactly what they are expected to do
  • Work begins and progresses as scheduled
  • Problems are identified and communicated early
  • Workmanship meets Clear Code standards
  • Change orders are identified before unauthorized work occurs
  • Job sites remain clean, safe, and professional
  • Punch lists are kept short
  • Punch-list items are completed promptly
  • Projects continue moving toward completion
  • Customers receive professional construction experience

  • Monday through Friday
  • Occasional weekend work may be required to accommodate client needs
  • Projects are primarily located throughout central and eastern Connecticut Compensation
  • $28-$34 per hour, based on residential construction experience, leadership ability, and overall qualifications. Preferred Experience
  • Handyman or light carpentry experience is strongly preferred and may provide additional opportunities to support client needs.
Pay:
$28.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 25.0 per week
