Construction Project Manager - Federal Construction & Mission Critical Infrastructure Patrick Space Force Base / Melbourne, Florida Reliance Construction is seeking a Project Manager to support a federal facility renovation at Patrick Space Force Base. This position is responsible for managing the project from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating project teams, maintaining government and client relationships, and ensuring the work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate is an organized, self-motivated construction professional who communicates effectively with clients and subcontractors and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The project involves multiple construction trades working within an active installation and an occupied building. The Project Manager will coordinate closely with field leadership to maintain access, protect ongoing operations, and deliver a fully functional facility. Responsibilities Oversee the project budget, schedule, subcontractors, procurement, and overall execution Maintain direct communication with government representatives, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal project teams Review and interpret federal contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements Coordinate staffing, procurement activities, construction sequencing, and work affecting occupied areas and operational building systems Monitor financial performance, including cost tracking, forecasting, billings, change orders, and cash flow management Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements, change orders, RFIs, and project correspondence Work closely with the Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Site Safety and Health Officer to achieve project quality, safety, and schedule objectives Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life-safety, environmental, and specialty scopes Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, company policies, and applicable federal requirements Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to maintain successful execution Build and maintain strong working relationships with government representatives, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders Coordinate testing, commissioning, training, punch-list completion, and turnover Ensure project documentation, reporting, as-builts, warranties, and closeout requirements are completed accurately and on time Support scheduling efforts utilizing Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or related scheduling platforms Attend the project site and meetings as required Required Qualifications Minimum five years of experience managing commercial, industrial, or federal construction projects as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Superintendent, or similar role Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, and client relationships Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Valid driver's license and ability to work at the Patrick Space Force Base project site as required Ability to pass required screening and obtain installation access Preferred Qualifications Ten or more years of project management experience Experience managing federal, military, occupied-facility, or mission-critical construction projects Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field Experience with Design-Build, MATOC, SATOC, IDIQ, SABER, or JOC contracts Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar construction management software Experience managing secure facilities, critical infrastructure, utility systems, electrical systems, fire and life-safety systems, or specialized MEP construction Experience coordinating phased renovations, operational building systems, testing, and commissioning Familiarity with federal construction contracting, government compliance requirements, and contract administration Why Reliance Construction Reliance Construction is a growing federal and infrastructure-focused contractor supporting mission-critical projects across defense, energy, and government markets. Compensation:

$100,000-$150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation and engagement terms will be determined with the selected candidate.
