Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee religious education curricula tailored for various age groups, emphasizing Catholic doctrine and spiritual development. Coordinate youth ministry programs that promote active engagement, mentorship, and faith formation among young parishioners. Manage volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and support to ensure smooth operation of religious activities and community outreach events. Provide bereavement support and spiritual counseling to individuals and families during times of loss or crisis. Organize faith-based events, retreats, workshops, and community service projects that foster spiritual growth and community involvement. Collaborate with clergy members and church leadership to align educational initiatives with organizational goals and liturgical calendar. Qualifications Proven experience in religious education, youth ministry, or pastoral work within a Catholic or Christian context. Strong knowledge of Catholic theology, teachings, and pastoral theology principles. Experience working with children and youth in educational or faith-based settings; familiarity with religious organization childcare experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse age groups, volunteers, families, and community partners. Demonstrated leadership abilities in volunteer management, event planning, and community engagement. Background in social work or Christian counseling is advantageous for providing holistic support to individuals in need. Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating independent initiative; experience working as a clergyperson or religious leader is highly valued.
