Construction Superintendent - Federal Construction & Mission Critical Infrastructure Patrick Space Force Base / Melbourne, Florida Reliance Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for a federal facility renovation at Patrick Space Force Base. This position is responsible for directing subcontractor work, planning labor and material needs, maintaining the construction schedule, and ensuring work is performed safely and in accordance with contract requirements. The project involves architectural renovation, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life-safety, environmental, and specialty work within an active installation and an occupied building. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and able to lead daily field operations without constant supervision. This person must communicate effectively with government personnel, subcontractors, and the Reliance project team while keeping work moving in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Direct daily field operations and drive on-site work performed by subcontractors Plan upcoming work so personnel, materials, equipment, access, and approved information are available when needed Develop daily and weekly work plans and coordinate activities with the overall project schedule Sequence demolition, environmental, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life-safety, and specialty work Coordinate temporary protection, dust and debris control, and safe access around occupied areas Plan work affecting operational building systems and coordinate scheduled outages with the project team and government representatives Read and execute contract drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and project requirements Monitor subcontractor production, identify conflicts or delays early, and communicate issues to the Project Manager and operations leadership Serve as an on-site point of contact for government representatives, designers, and other project stakeholders, referring contract decisions through Reliance management Prepare daily production reports documenting manpower, work completed, materials, deliveries, inspections, and field conditions Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and attend government and project meetings as required Coordinate with quality control and safety personnel on inspections, testing, Activity Hazard Analyses, and corrective actions Support system startup, commissioning, punch-list completion, final inspections, and turnover Required Qualifications Minimum five years of construction experience in a supervisory field role Demonstrated experience directing subcontractors and coordinating multiple construction trades Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documents Ability to plan daily and weekly work, anticipate labor and material needs, and maintain accurate production reports Strong organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently, recognize field issues, and promptly communicate them to company leadership Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe PDF Valid driver's license and ability to pass required screening and obtain installation access Ability to work on site at Patrick Space Force Base and in the field conditions required by the project Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising federal, military, occupied-facility, or mission-critical construction projects Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life-safety, or multidisciplinary renovation work Experience coordinating construction while adjacent spaces remain occupied and building systems remain operational Current First Aid/CPR certification Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification or other federal construction quality-control training Familiarity with EM 385-1-1, government compliance requirements, and the three-phase control process Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar construction management software Experience supporting testing, commissioning, and federal project closeout Why Reliance Construction Reliance Construction is a growing federal and infrastructure-focused contractor supporting mission-critical projects across defense, energy, and government markets. Compensation:

$100,000-$140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation and engagement terms will be determined with the selected candidate.
