Full Job Description Job Description:
This full-time Construction Superintendent role oversees safe-harbored solar projects and other construction initiatives from inception to completion. You will lead on-site operations, ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, and uphold high standards of safety and quality. The position requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of construction processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring all activities adhere to safety regulations and established quality standards. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, laborers, and other on-site personnel to ensure efficient and effective project execution. Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans to ensure accurate and timely completion of work. Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the construction process to meet project specifications and client expectations. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring efficient allocation of labor, materials, and equipment. Utilize construction management software to track project milestones, document progress, and maintain accurate records. Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable safety standards on-site, promoting a culture of safety for all team members. Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to provide clear and timely updates on project status, risks, and achievements. Support a culture of safety and excellence by modeling best practices and reinforcing company standards across all project activities.
Essential Skills:
Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, and contract management. High proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics with strong attention to detail. Familiarity with quality control processes and standards in construction projects. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate diverse teams effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills under pressure. Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Proficiency or strong aptitude for using construction management software. Effective written communication skills, including clear and accurate documentation and reporting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience managing safe-harbored solar projects or similar renewable energy construction projects. Background in construction management or a related discipline. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including project managers, subcontractors, and field personnel. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aiea, HI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
