Operation Manager Position Summary:
The Warranty Technician plays a critical role in ensuring homeowner satisfaction by managing post-construction warranty services and resolving service requests efficiently and professionally. This position oversees all warranty claims and repairs, coordinates with subcontractors, and ensures compliance with company standards and applicable warranties. The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential construction, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to customer service excellence.
Responsibilities:
Manage the entire homeowner warranty process, from initial request to final resolution. Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners regarding warranty issues. Schedule, coordinate, and supervise repairs with subcontractors and internal technicians. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company quality standards. Maintain detailed records of all warranty claims, resolutions, and communications via Buildertrend. Identify and track recurring warranty issues to help improve construction processes. Provide regular updates and reports to management on warranty trends and performance metrics. Ensure all warranty services are completed within applicable timeframes. Attend final walk through with superintendent and inform client of warranty process and expectations.

Skills:
  • Proficiency with all hand and power tools required for residential construction; for proper installation of all material/repair work. Tools provided.
  • Ability to identify deficient work or problems and provide resolution. Able to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, present findings and make thoughtful recommendations considering overall risk and short-term/long-term impact.
  • Technical competency; Able to communicate and perform on current company software; BuilderTrend; smartphone; web; email; spreadsheets; mapping tools.
  • Blueprint reading
  • Physically lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, climb, and navigate construction job sites and occupied homes.

Education required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in repair work and interior and exterior maintenance work
  • Experience in residential construction would be preferred Additional requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record; insurable
  • Travel to multiple job sites as assigned
  • Mathematical Skills; basic; fractions & percentages; algebra; geometry
  • Sign and comply with company's Employee Handbook and Safety Manual
  • Learn BuilderTrend software
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$75,000.00
  • $90,000.
