Catholic Urban Programs is seeking a dependable and engaging Program Site Coordinator to provide daily leadership for our out-of-school-time programming in East St. Louis. About Catholic Urban Programs Catholic Urban Programs (CUP) works to advance human dignity, remediate the effects of poverty, and empower individuals and families toward greater self-sufficiency through crisis intervention, housing security, and out-of-school-time programs. Our out-of-school-time programming provides students with academic support, enrichment activities, positive relationships, and opportunities to strengthen social and personal development. The Opportunity Reporting to the OST Program Supervisor , the Program Site Coordinator provides daily leadership for an assigned after-school program site. The Site Coordinator helps ensure programming is safe, organized, engaging, and consistent with CUP and school expectations. This position provides direction to Enrichment Instructors and volunteers, supports students and families, maintains program documentation, and serves as an important connection between CUP, school personnel, staff, and families. What You'll Do Coordinate daily after-school program activities and operations at the assigned site. Provide guidance and direction to Enrichment Instructors, volunteers, and other assigned program staff. Lead and support academic, enrichment, recreational, and positive youth-development activities. Create a safe, structured, welcoming, and engaging environment for students. Maintain accurate student attendance, participation, and required program data. Monitor student behavior and work with staff to reinforce positive expectations and appropriate interventions. Communicate significant student, staffing, safety, or program concerns to the OST Program Supervisor. Maintain effective communication with school personnel, CUP leadership, staff, students, and families. Support program planning, activity development, scheduling, and implementation. Ensure program practices align with CUP expectations, school policies, and applicable grant or program requirements. Communicate respectfully and confidentially with parents, guardians, students, and community members. Support snacks, supplies, program materials, room setup, and other daily operational needs. Document and report incidents in accordance with established procedures. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required program training. Support family engagement activities, special events, and other OST initiatives. What We're Looking For Associate Degree or equivalent required. Experience working with children or youth in an after-school, school, community, recreational, or similar setting. Ability to provide leadership and direction in a youth-program environment. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively with students, families, school personnel, staff, and community partners. Strong organization and attention to attendance, documentation, schedules, and program requirements. Ability to respond calmly and appropriately to student behavior, conflicts, and unexpected situations. Ability to successfully complete required background checks and applicable clearances. CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification within the required timeframe. Reliable transportation. Commitment to CUP's mission and to supporting the growth and development of young people. Required Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited college or university. Previous experience in an out-of-school-time or school-based program. Experience leading staff, volunteers, youth activities, or program operations. Knowledge of positive youth development and the East St. Louis community. Schedule This position primarily works during after-school program hours , with some flexibility required for staff meetings, training, family engagement activities, special events, and other program needs. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
