Job Description
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER ASSISTANT
- An Assistant to the Construction Manager is needed to help oversee the building, expansion, or modernization of automotive manufacturing plants, assembly facilities, or large dealership complexes. They bridge the gap between heavy industrial construction and specialized automotive systems integration.Key Responsibilities Procurement and Bid Analysis:
Solicit and obtain multiple competitive quotes from specialized trade subcontractors and automotive equipment suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and value.Specialized System Coordination:
Assist in managing the installation of automotive infrastructure, including robotic assembly bays, paint shops, stamping presses, heavy equipment foundations, and conveyor lines.Vendor and OEM Liaison:
Coordinate schedule alignment between general building contractors and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) installing automated production machinery.Document and Change Management:
Process RFIs, equipment submittals, and engineering changes common in highly technical automotive plant builds.Utility Infrastructure Oversight:
Help supervise the installation of high-capacity industrial utilities, including high-voltage power feeds, industrial compressed air, chemical piping, and ventilation systems.Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain compliance with industrial building codes, environmental regulations for chemical containment, and specialized safety standards like OSHA and hazardous energy control (Lockout/Tagout). Ability to Work in a High Pace Environment. Assist with setting up and breaking down temporary sales & service locations. Assist with other departments and personnel as needed.Starting salary:
