Job Summary:

The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all electrical construction activities on job sites to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and quality standards. This role involves supervising electrical crews, managing subcontractors, and working closely with project managers and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct all electrical field personnel and subcontractors to ensure efficient and quality installations. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other superintendents to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met. Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure work is being executed to design and code requirements. Monitor job progress and ensure safety protocols and OSHA regulations are always followed. Inspect installations and systems during and after construction to ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements. Order and manage delivery of materials, tools, and equipment needed for the job. Maintain daily logs, site reports, and schedules, report progress and issues to management. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise during the project lifecycle. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to promote performance and professional development. Enforce company policies, procedures, and quality control standards. Experience with electrical safety, LOTO procedures, and machine installation safety best practices. Ability to travel frequently and work in industrial, commercial, and manufacturing settings. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or trade school certification in electrical technology preferred. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the electrical construction industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical plans and technical drawings. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Proficient with construction scheduling and management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar). First Aid training is preferred OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Work Environment & Travel Requirements:

Work is performed primarily on construction sites, subject to outdoor conditions and physical demands such as standing, lifting, and climbing. May involve weekend work, overtime. Long term travel to job sites for construction and equipment installation projects.
