Job Description

Busby Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. This position will be responsible for estimating projects from bid documents through proposal submission and managing awarded projects through completion. We perform a variety of commercial construction, civil/site work, concrete, renovations, and government/municipal projects throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, understands construction documents, and can effectively manage multiple projects and bids at the same time. Responsibilities Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents. Perform detailed material and quantity takeoffs. Prepare labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and production-cost estimates. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes. Prepare competitive bid proposals and scopes of work. Identify exclusions, clarifications, risks, and potential change-order items. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required. Develop project budgets, schedules, and cost projections. Manage awarded projects from preconstruction through closeout. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, owners, engineers, architects, and government representatives. Track project costs against budgets and identify potential overruns early. Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements. Review subcontractor and supplier invoices. Assist with project scheduling and manpower/equipment planning. Conduct jobsite visits and monitor progress, quality, safety, and schedule. Maintain accurate project documentation and records. Assist with monthly pay applications, billing, and project closeout. Maintain strong communication between the office and field personnel. Qualifications Construction estimating and/or project management experience required. Strong understanding of construction plans and specifications. Experience with commercial construction, concrete, civil/site work, or government construction is strongly preferred. Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and develop construction pricing. Understanding of labor productivity, equipment costs, material pricing, and subcontractor scopes. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Drive, and construction estimating/project-management software. Ability to manage multiple bids and active projects simultaneously. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Valid driver's license and ability to visit jobsites as needed. Must pass a drug screening. Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Federal, military, state, or municipal construction Civil/site construction Concrete construction Commercial renovations Government bidding and procurement Davis-Bacon / prevailing-wage projects Project scheduling
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
