ABOUT THE JOB

WillScot seeks an experienced Construction Manager to support our custom complex construction projects by: Interacting with customers and prospects, with our sales team, to present capabilities and develop scopes of workParticipating in bid/proposal development, deal structuring and approval from a technical and feasibility perspectivePreparing estimates from RFPs, preparing the technical package and establishing project budgets This is a forward-facing role interacting heavily with the WillScot sales team, customers and the construction services team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

This role will also execute, monitor, and close the back-end construction phases by interacting with customers, customers representatives, local officials, vendors and other project stakeholders to ensure a high success rate and profitability. This role includes elements of Customer Service and Sales Support, Technical Support and

Project Support:

Qualifying opportunities; developing project program requirements, reviewing sites, conditions/utilities and physical restrictions

Reviewing and qualifying bid/RFP documents, blueprints and specifications, pre-bid meetings and job walks, subcontractor qualifications

Developing project scopes of work, baseline estimates, VAP and vendor recommendations

Produce/manage preliminary and final drawings, proposal writing and submittal, Go/No Go reviews

Milestone project scheduling and budget (Procore)

Postmortem Reviews of projects completed and lost opportunities

Interpret plans, estimates and quantities of materials needed

Consult with architects, engineers and other technical workers

Solicit and review contractor quotations, issue POs, approve payments

Monitor and document vendor and job site safety programs

Review bidding and contract documents, negotiate and confirm change orders, maintain change order log

Provide documentation such as shop drawings, project forecasts, schedules, changes, payments, project close-outs and customer hand-offs

Supervise construction sites, project superintendents and subcontractors for building performance, quality, cost schedules and safety

Publish/distribute project schedules, coordinate work activities and material flows, coordinate scopes and responsibilities with customers and vendors

Ensure building regulations, standards and by-laws are enforced in building operations

Manage project using Procore and Salesforce

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma

7+ years of demonstrated successful experience in Project Management related activities and Construction Management related activities such as estimating

BS or AS in Construction related field such as Engineering, Architecture, and Construction/Project Management preferred

Experience with Prefabricated Structures preferred

Required Skills and Abilities:

Project Management experience with cost tracking

Proficiency in MS Project or a scheduling software

Proven contract review skills

Effective blueprint takeoffs

Ability to review subcontractor quotes and delineate scopes of work

Solid background in building trades and site development

Basic knowledge of finance

PC Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Office Suite

Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills

Strong attention to detail

Strong customer service skills to assist in sales presentations

An unwavering commitment to Safety Travel is required for this role with the frequency of overnight travel dependent upon the geographical territory. Regional travel at least 30%. In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, move about the work environment including corporate office environments, field offices, and work sites which may include uneven surfaces and climbing. The employee must be able to communicate constantly and effectively in person and by phone or other web-enabled platforms.
