Overview Join our dynamic construction team as an Earthwork/Demo Foreman, where you will lead excavation and demolition projects with energy, precision, and a focus on safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee heavy-duty earthmoving operations, manage skilled crews, and ensure project milestones are achieved efficiently. As a key leader on-site, you will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver high-quality results while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise will drive the success of complex construction projects in a fast-paced environment that values proactive management and teamwork. Duties Supervise and manage earthwork and demolition crews, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Coordinate daily work schedules, material deliveries, and equipment usage to optimize productivity and minimize delays. Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical plans to interpret project requirements accurately. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards across all site activities. Oversee quality control measures, including inspecting work for adherence to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Manage site safety protocols, conduct regular safety meetings, and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Lead efforts in project scheduling coordination, ensuring timely completion of earthwork phases within the overall construction timeline. Skills Extensive experience in construction site supervision with a focus on earthwork and demolition projects. Proven ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction schedules. Excellent crew management skills with a track record of supervising teams in demanding environments. Deep understanding of construction regulations such as OSHA standards and federal safety requirements. Skilled in managing project budgets, scheduling tasks effectively, and coordinating multiple subcontractors. Effective managerial communication skills to lead teams confidently while maintaining safety standards. Ability to utilize construction safety management practices to mitigate risks on-site. Familiarity with managing contracts and change orders within a commercial or heavy civil construction context. Competence in quality control procedures ensuring work meets all technical specifications and client expectations.
