LA Construction Group

Commercial Construction Superintendent

Job Description

Job Overview LA Construction Group (LACG) is a growing commercial construction and insurance restoration company with operations across New Jersey, Atlanta, and Jacksonville. We're not looking for someone to fill a seat, we're looking for a Superintendent who wants to grow with a company that's scaling fast and rewards people who take ownership. Our work spans commercial tenant fit-outs, institutional renovations, mechanical and electrical scopes, and large-loss insurance restoration projects, from airport facility upgrades to university renovations to multi-unit residential restoration. If you want variety, autonomy, and a real path forward, this is the role. What You'll Own You'll be handed fully-scoped, budgeted projects and trusted to run them. This isn't a role where someone hovers over your shoulder. It's a role where leadership hands you the keys because they know you'll figure it out. Take ownership of assigned projects from mobilization through closeout, running day-to-day field operations, subcontractor coordination, and schedule execution Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, architects, and owner's reps, communicating proactively, not reactively Keep projects fully and accurately documented in
JobTread:
daily logs, RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedule updates, and photos in real-time, not end-of-week Coordinate material and equipment procurement timelines against the schedule, flagging lead-time conflicts before they become delays Enforce site safety, quality control, and compliance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications Identify problems before they escalate and bring solutions, not just issues, to the project management team Manage subcontractor performance, schedule adherence, and site logistics across multiple concurrent scopes Support closeout documentation, punch lists, and owner walkthroughs to ensure clean, on-time project delivery What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or equivalent field leadership role in commercial construction A track record of running projects independently Strong working knowledge of commercial construction sequencing, mechanical/electrical coordination, and site logistics Comfortable being the face of the company on-site. Clients and owner's reps should feel confident the moment they meet you Experience with construction management software A problem-solver's mindset. Someone who sees a conflict on the schedule or in the field and already has three ways to fix it Strong written and verbal communication. You'll be documenting decisions and conversations that protect the project and the client relationship Why LACG Real ownership. You'll run your own projects, not shadow someone else's. Growth trajectory. LACG is scaling aggressively across multiple markets — the people who perform now are the ones who move up as we grow. Modern tools. We run our projects through JobTread, not paper logs and guesswork. You'll have the systems to do your job well. Variety of work. Commercial tenant build-outs, institutional renovations, mechanical retrofits, and insurance restoration, no two months look the same. A team that has your back. You'll work alongside experienced project managers and leadership who value candor, ownership, and getting it right the first time. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus: Paid time off 401(k) with company match Quarterly performance bonuses tied to KPI results A clear path for growth as LACG expands its footprint
