Job Description

Position Summary The Site Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of on-site construction activities. This role ensures work is executed according to contract specifications, project schedule, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Site Project Manager coordinates field operations, manages subcontractors, and liaises directly with Government representatives and project staff. Key Responsibilities Site Operations Management Oversee daily construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications. Monitor progress of work and ensure alignment with project schedule and critical milestones Coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors for efficient operations Resolve field issues, conflicts, and resource allocation challenges promptly Verify that all materials delivered to the site meet approved submittals and specifications Schedule and Progress Control Track daily progress and update the site-specific portion of the project schedule Identify potential schedule delays and coordinate mitigation strategies Integrate inspections, testing, and QC activities into daily field operations Maintain a short-term look-ahead schedule for upcoming work activities Provide two week ahead schedule Safety Management Enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and USACE requirements Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks with on-site personnel Identify unsafe conditions or practices and take immediate corrective action Support incident investigations and maintain safety documentation Government Coordination Act as the on-site point of contact for client personnel (COR, RE, QA/QC inspectors) Facilitate site inspections, meetings, and Government walkthroughs Respond promptly to Government RFIs, comments, and deficiency notices Ensure Government approvals, permits, and certifications are obtained before critical work Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate daily logs, including labor, equipment, materials, and work progress Prepare daily/weekly field reports for submission to the Project Manager and Government representatives Track punch lists, inspections, and corrective actions Maintain organized site documentation for audits, compliance, and project closeout Project Closeout Ensure all field work is complete and compliant prior to final inspection Coordinate punch list completion with subcontractors and QC Manager Compile and submit as-built documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, and testing reports Support final Government acceptance and turnover of the site Technical Construction Knowledge Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and field operations across civil, structural, and site work Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications Familiarity with inspection and testing procedures for site work, utilities, concrete, paving, and earthwork Experience managing subcontractors, crews, and field logistics
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
