Job Description
Bolla Management Corp. operates 200+ Retail Gas Stations with Convenience Stores (C-Stores) and automotive repair shops. Bolla partners with major food chains like Burger King, Tim Horton, Pizza Hut and Subway. Bolla is a premier Wholesale and Retail Motor Fuel (MF) supplier in Metro New York and New Jersey areas. Through our Bolla Transport division the company hauls Motor Fuel in both New York and New Jersey areas. We supply MF to our 200+ locations as well as an additional 100 Wholesale Dealers. It also constructs Ultra-Modern and upscale Gas Stations with C-Stores. Bolla has over one Billion dollars in revenues and employs over 1200 Team Members. We are seeking a high-caliber Construction Supervisor with a deep technical background in heavy equipment operation. This role is perfect for a veteran of the industry who has spent at least 10 years in the cab and is ready to leverage that expertise to manage large-scale site operations, mentor crews, and ensure precision on every grade. As a "working supervisor," you won't just be watching from the sidelines—you will be the primary technical authority on-site, ensuring that our fleet is utilized to its maximum potential while maintaining a culture of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Field Leadership:
Oversee daily operations for civil, commercial, or residential earthwork projects, ensuring all work aligns with blueprints and project timelines.Expert Equipment Operation:
Utilize a decade of experience to operate excavators, dozers, and graders for high-precision tasks or to troubleshoot difficult site conditions.Grade & GPS Management:
Set and check grades; manage and troubleshoot GPS-integrated systems (e.g., Trimble, Topcon) to ensure Earthwork accuracy.Crew Mentorship:
Train junior operators on machine maintenance, fuel efficiency, and advanced operating techniques to reduce wear and tear on the fleet.Safety & Compliance:
Conduct daily safety briefings (Tailgates) and enforce strict adherence to OSHA standards. Perform pre-op inspections on all heavy machinery.Resource Coordination:
Manage the delivery of materials and the scheduling of subcontractors to prevent "bottlenecks" on the job site. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience Minimum 10 years of documented experience operating heavy construction equipment. Leadership 5+ years in a supervisory role (Foreman, Lead Man, or Supervisor). Technical Expert ability to read site plans, cut/fill maps, and blueprints. Certifications OSHA 30-Hour Construction; First Aid/CPR; Valid Driver's License (CDL a plus). Communication Strong verbal skills to coordinate between project managers and field crews.Technical Expectations Machine Mastery:
Deep knowledge of hydraulics, engine diagnostics, and machine capabilities for brands like Cat, Komatsu, or John Deere.Production Planning:
Ability to calculate cycle times and soil swell/compaction factors to optimize haul routes and equipment placement.Safety Record:
A proven track record of zero-incident leadership on complex job sites. Physical Requirements Ability to work in extreme weather (heat, cold, rain). Ability to climb on and off heavy equipment and traverse rugged, uneven terrain. Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during site inspections.Note:
This position requires a "lead by example" mentality. The ideal candidate is someone who respects the machinery as much as the people operating it.Pay:
