Job Description

Position Outline:
Leads the Home Repair & Warranty division, overseeing the Project Consultants and Technicians who handle the company's smaller, fast-turnaround jobs. Manages day-to-day scheduling, staffing, and materials across the division while coaching the team on sales performance, client service, and craftsmanship, Partners with the Director of Sales & Marketing to grow the division's business and ensure every repair and warranty job is completed reliably and on time. And behaves in a manner consistent with the McClurg guiding principles of honesty, respect, communication & keeping our word.

  • Lead and develop the Home Repair & Warranty team — Project Consultants and Technicians — to consistently deliver smaller, fast-turnaround jobs on time and to McClurg's quality standard
  • Own the division's sales and production pipeline, balancing lead flow, scheduling, and staffing to hit growth and profitability goals
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for client and warranty concerns, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and relationships are protected
Team Leadership & Development:
  • Directly supervise and coach Home Repair Project Consultants and Home Repair Technicians
  • Set individual and team performance expectations, and conduct regular check-ins and evaluations
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new division team members
  • Resolve conflicts within the team, and between the team and clients or trade partners, in a fair and timely manner
  • Hold the team accountable to McClurg's core values, quality standards, and safety practices
Scheduling & Production Management:
  • Schedule and prioritize incoming leads and jobs to maintain fast turnaround times
  • Coordinate technician and consultant schedules to match job volume and client availability
  • Monitor job progress from sale through completion, resolving bottlenecks as they arise
  • Maintain accurate job tracking, documentation, and reporting systems for the division
  • Stay organized across multiple simultaneous jobs, schedules, and client requests
  • Draw on hands-on residential repair and construction experience to provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to technicians in the field
Sales & Business Development:
  • Support and coach Sales & Service Consultants on estimating, proposals, and closing techniques
  • Monitor division sales performance against goals and identify opportunities for growth
  • Partner with the Director of Sales & Marketing on lead generation, marketing initiatives, and pricing strategy
  • Review and approve Time & Materials (T&M) billing on jobs, checking accuracy before invoicing
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers that support the division's smaller, fast-turnaround model
Client & Warranty Management:
  • Oversee resolution of warranty claims and repair requests, ensuring timely and satisfactory outcomes
  • Serve as the point of escalation for client concerns that cannot be resolved by the team
  • Review completed jobs for quality and client satisfaction
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients throughout their project
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years in residential construction, home repair, or a related trade
  • Prior experience leading or supervising a team preferred
  • Sales or business development experience preferred
  • Valid NYS drivers license
  • Insured, reliable vehicle
Abilities & Skills:
  • Strong leadership and coaching ability

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities at once
  • Sales ability, with a customer-first mindset
  • Technical knowledge of residential construction, repair, and remodeling trades
  • Basic billing capabilities — able to review and understand Time & Materials (T&M) billing on jobs
  • Intermediate computer skills using multiple programs and websites
Pay:
$72,000.00
  • $75,000.
