About the Role Smooth Drywall Services LLC is hiring a full-time Drywall Crew Leader to help coordinate field crews and keep residential and light-commercial drywall, painting, repair, and refinishing projects moving from start through completion. This is a hands-on field leadership position for someone who is dependable, polite with customers, bilingual in English and Spanish, and eager to learn and grow. We will provide substantial training in our standards, systems, and day-to-day operations during the first year. As the employee demonstrates reliability, judgment, leadership, and the ability to operate independently, there is a clear opportunity to grow into broader field and project-management responsibilities. Schedule and Work Area Full-time, typically 40 hours per week Monday-through-Saturday availability is required; Saturdays are worked as needed based on customer commitments, active projects, crew needs, walkthroughs, quality-control concerns, and completion deadlines Work locations vary throughout Smooth Drywall Services' southeastern Pennsylvania service area The Crew Leader must be present at the scheduled job site and ready to begin by 9:00 a.m. unless a different start time is assigned for the customer, crew, or project Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily field operations, crew assignments, schedules, and project sequencing Make sure employees and subcontractors understand the scope, assignments, and quality expectations for each project Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers throughout active projects Keep the Owner informed about production, staffing, scheduling, customer concerns, material shortages, delays, and other significant issues Confirm required materials, tools, equipment, and supplies are available; coordinate pickups and deliveries when needed Monitor project schedules, production targets, labor efficiency, material use, downtime, and avoidable expenses Perform regular job-site inspections and maintain Smooth Drywall Services' quality standards Identify workmanship concerns early and make sure corrections and punch-list items are completed Maintain job-site protection, cleanliness, dust control, and professional conduct Make sure projects are cleaned and prepared for customer walkthroughs Help resolve field problems before they unnecessarily interrupt production Hold crews and subcontractors accountable for attendance, workmanship, cleanliness, and company expectations Perform hands-on drywall, painting, repair, service, warranty, and punch-list work when needed Assist with measurements, estimates, project evaluations, job planning, and final walkthroughs as training and experience develop Maintain accurate project updates in DripJobs and other company systems Identify legitimate opportunities for additional customer-requested work without using pressure or unauthorized pricing Help maintain the company work vehicle, tools, equipment, and materials in a clean, safe, organized, and professional condition Follow and help enforce company policies, customer-service standards, and job-site safety requirements Required Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish; able to communicate clearly with customers and field crews Polite, patient, and professional when working in customers' homes and businesses Dependable, punctual, organized, and responsive to time-sensitive communication Eager to learn, accept coaching, take initiative, solve problems, and grow with the company Comfortable leading others while also performing hands-on field work Able to use drywall and painting tools safely and perform the physical duties of field construction work Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate and care for a company vehicle Smartphone and basic computer skills sufficient to learn company scheduling and project-management software Drywall, painting, remodeling, construction, or crew-lead experience is preferred, but a prior Project Manager title is not required Compensation and Benefits $25.00-$28.00 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated ability Overtime paid when legally required One week of paid vacation per year, subject to scheduling needs and advance approval Company work van and company-paid fuel for authorized business use Company tools, equipment, software, laptop, or phone provided when applicable Structured training and a performance-based path toward greater responsibility and compensation Opportunity to earn a 5% commission on qualifying additional work personally identified and converted into a company-approved, documented, completed, and collected change order What Success Looks Like The successful Crew Leader protects the customer's trust and the reputation of Smooth Drywall Services.
